Efrat Yerday is a Research Fellow at American University, focusing on Ethiopian Jews and Blackness in Israel. From 2023 to 2024, she served as a teaching fellow at the University of Maryland (UMD). Her work intersects with Israeli cultural studies and contemporary art.
Research Interests include Ethiopian Jewish identity, racial dynamics in Israel, and cultural representation in popular media. She has contributed to academic discourse through publications and initiatives that challenge dominant narratives about Ethiopian Jewish communities.
