Hagar Salamon

Hagar Salamon is a Senior Lecturer in the Jewish and Comparative Folklore Program at the Hebrew University's Institute of Jewish Studies. She is affiliated with the Harry S. Truman Research Institute and focuses on cultural diversity in Israel, Ethiopian Jewish folklore, racial subjectivity, and Israeli-Palestinian relations through ethnographic and material culture lenses.

• Her research explores intimate power dynamics in Ethiopian slavery narratives, examining the transformation of racial hierarchies in diasporic contexts.
