Eelke Wiersma is an Associate Professor at the Department of Accounting, School of Business and Economics, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He also holds an appointment at the Amsterdam Business Research Institute. He earned his PhD in 2003 from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and has been a faculty member since 2002, serving as Assistant Professor until 2008 before his current role.

Research Interests: Focuses on cost behavior analysis, management accounting system utilization, taxation's impact on investment decisions, and performance evaluation methodologies. His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals through applied accounting research.
