Edward Janger is the David M. Barse Professor of Law at Brooklyn Law School, where he has taught since 1998. His expertise spans Bankruptcy Law, Business Law, Commercial Transactions, and Data Privacy. Prior to joining Brooklyn Law School, he taught at Washington University School of Law and Ohio State University College of Law. He is co-director of the Center for the Study of Business Law & Regulation and has held visiting professorships at Yale and Harvard Law Schools.

Professor Janger's research focuses on bankruptcy governance, consumer credit regulation, and data privacy. Recent scholarship addresses cross-border bankruptcy coordination, financial firm resolution, and the treatment of financial contracts in insolvency proceedings.
His recent articles analyze value allocation in Chapter 11, platform liability for Amazon, and cross-border insolvency frameworks. He has published extensively in top journals including Yale Law Journal and Texas Law Review.

Professor Janger previously practiced bankruptcy and litigation at Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering in Washington, D.C., and served as law clerk to Judge Irving L. Goldberg of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
