Paul Oberhammer is a Full Professor at the Department of Civil Procedure, Faculty of Law, Vienna University. Since 2014, he has served as Dean of Vienna University's Faculty of Law. He also holds a permanent visiting professorship at the Law School of St. Gallen University (Switzerland) since 2012. Previously, he was a Full Professor at Zurich University (2003-2011) and Halle-Wittenberg University (2001-2003), and served as Associate Professor (1997-2001) and Assistant (1991-1997) at Vienna University.

Recent publications analyze European insolvency law evolution, Brussels Regulation reforms, and Swiss civil procedure codification. They reflect his expertise in cross-border legal integration and comparative civil law analysis.
