Edward J. Janger is the David M. Barse Professor of Law at Brooklyn Law School and a Visiting Professor at Yale Law School. He specializes in bankruptcy law, commercial transactions, and consumer financial protection. Janger holds a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School and a B.A. from Yale University. He has held visiting roles at Harvard Law School, the University of Pennsylvania, and Yale, and served as a scholar-in-residence at the American Bankruptcy Institute. His research addresses cross-border bankruptcy, financial institution resolution, and consumer bankruptcy reform. Janger is a member of the American College of Bankruptcy, the International Insolvency Institute, and the American Law Institute. He co-directs Brooklyn Law's Center for the Study of Business Law & Regulation and advises the World Bank's Insolvency Task Force. Notable contributions include the Grant Gilmore Award-winning article on Chapter 11 valuation mechanisms.
