Edmond Shenassa

Edmond Shenassa, Ph.D., is a Professor of Family Science and Maternal and Child Health at the University of Maryland's School of Public Health. His research focuses on the intersection of individual and social determinants of health, particularly maternal and child health. Key areas include developmental effects of prenatal toxin exposure and social epidemiology of injuries. He holds a Sc.D. in Epidemiology and Maternal & Child Health from Harvard University and an MA in Social Research Methods from UCLA. His work bridges social science and public health, addressing methodological challenges in applying findings to policy.
