Edmond D Shenassa

Edmond D Shenassa is a Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of Maryland School of Public Health. His research focuses on social determinants of health, developmental origins of health and disease, and prenatal/perinatal epidemiology. He has led major studies such as the Rhode Island Birth Cohort and co-led the New England Family Studies. Key areas include breastfeeding, smoking, environmental toxin exposure, and maternal-child health disparities.
