Easha Anand is an Assistant Professor of Law and Co-Director of the Supreme Court Litigation Clinic at Stanford University's Stanford Law School. She joined the faculty in 2023, bringing expertise in Supreme Court and appellate litigation. Previously, she served as Supreme Court & Appellate Counsel at the MacArthur Justice Center, focusing on police excessive force, prison conditions, habeas corpus, and civil rights cases. She also held the Edwin A. Heafey, Jr. Visiting Professor role in Stanford's clinic in 2022.
Education: J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. Clerkships include Justice Sonia Sotomayor (U.S. Supreme Court) and Judge Paul J. Watford (U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit).
Research interests center on criminal justice reform, civil liberties, and strategic litigation at the Supreme Court level. She teaches courses such as Advanced Supreme Court Litigation Clinic and Directed Professional Writing, emphasizing practical legal skills and appellate advocacy.
Labs/Teams: Active in the Mills Legal Clinic and Supreme Court Litigation Clinic, providing clinical education and public interest advocacy.
