معرفی
Professor E Yvonne Jones is the Sir Andrew McMichael Professor of Structural Immunology and Professorial Fellow at Jesus College, University of Oxford. She leads the Cancer Research UK Receptor Structure Research Group, focusing on structural biology of extracellular recognition and signaling complexes. Her work integrates protein crystallography, cryo-electron microscopy, and functional studies to understand cell-surface signaling mechanisms critical for health and disease.
Education: BA and DPhil from the University of Oxford, with postdoctoral training at the University of Edinburgh and CSIRO, Australia. Awards include the EU Descartes Prize (2002), Fellowship of the Academy of Medical Sciences (2003), and EMBO Membership (2007).
Research interests span Wnt signaling, semaphorin/plexin systems, and Notum inhibition. Recent work explores mechanisms of immune suppression via Semaphorin 3A and Wnt pathway modulators. Her group develops inhibitors targeting Notum, a key enzyme regulating Wnt signaling in cancer and developmental disorders.
Key publications include structural insights into plexin activation, Norrin-Lgr interactions, and semaphorin glycosaminoglycan binding. She collaborates globally on interdisciplinary projects linking structural biology to clinical applications.
