Douglas Rossinow is a Professor in the Department of Ethnic, Gender, Historical, and Philosophical Studies at Metropolitan State University's College of Liberal Arts. He joined the faculty in 1997 as an assistant professor of history and has held leadership roles including chair of the History Department (2000–2003, 2008–2013) and Interim Dean of the College of Liberal Arts (2019–2021).

Rossinow's research centers on 20th-century U.S. history, with expertise in political ideologies, social movements, and transnational perspectives. He has pioneered studies on the religious left, the New Left, and the intersection of liberalism and Christianity in American political culture, while expanding his scope to include Palestine/Israel historiography and transnational methodologies.
His publications demonstrate a consistent evolution from domestic political history toward global frameworks, culminating in recent works on transnational U.S. history and the religious left. Current research focuses on American Zionism through his forthcoming book Promised Land: The Worlds of American Zionism, 1942-2022.

Rossinow has advised undergraduate and graduate students internationally, notably during his Fulbright tenure at the University of Oslo (2013, 2016–2019) where he mentored BA, MA, and PhD candidates in history programs. He actively contributes to scholarly communities as former president of the Peace History Society (2012–2013) and committee member for the Society for Historians of American Foreign Relations.
He teaches diverse courses including American History at the Movies, Palestine/Israel since 1880, U.S.-Vietnam War, and histories of enslavement and the Great Depression, reflecting his commitment to interdisciplinary approaches in historical pedagogy.
