Prof. Donghai Wang is the Brown Foundation Chair of Mechanical Engineering at Southern Methodist University's Lyle School of Engineering, with a courtesy appointment at the Department of Civil Engineering. He previously held roles at Penn State University, advancing from Assistant Professor in 2009 to Full Professor by 2018. His research focuses on energy storage technologies, nanomaterials, and clean energy systems, with over $23M in grants and 130+ peer-reviewed publications (h-index 79). He has guided over 60 doctoral/postdoc students and is a consecutive Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher (2018-2023).
