Dimitriadis Sergios

Dimitriadis Sergios is a Professor at the Department of Marketing and Communication within the School of Business at Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), Greece. He is currently on sabbatical leave from March 1, 2025 to January 31, 2026. He teaches at undergraduate, MSc, and MBA program levels, bringing extensive academic and practical experience to his courses.

His research focuses on digital marketing, consumer behavior in online environments, brand management, and social media marketing. His work particularly examines consumer perceptions in 3D online stores, relational benefits and costs in social media brand pages, green brand relationships, and business-to-business marketing. His publications span major marketing journals with a consistent focus on how digital technologies transform consumer-brand relationships and shopping experiences.

Dimitriadis has published three books on Marketing Management, Branding, and E-commerce, along with numerous articles in international peer-reviewed journals. His research trajectory shows a progression from traditional marketing topics to increasingly digital and social media-focused areas, reflecting the evolution of the marketing discipline over the past two decades. His work demonstrates strong methodological rigor with both quantitative and qualitative approaches.

For over 20 years, he has served as a consultant for private and public organizations and as an expert in numerous EU-funded projects. He actively promotes collaboration between academic institutions and the business community, emphasizing practical applications of marketing theory.

His academic journey includes teaching positions at Grenoble Graduate School of Business and University Pierre Mendes France in France before joining AUEB. He holds a PhD in Marketing from the Institut d'Administration des Entreprises of Aix-en-Provence, University of Aix-Marseille III, France.
