Dr. Dianne Cooper is an Associate Professor (Reader) in Inflammation Biology at the William Harvey Research Institute, Queen Mary University of London. She serves as Deputy Centre Lead for Biochemical Pharmacology and module lead for Drug Design for Pharmacologists in the iBSc in Experimental Pharmacology. Her research focuses on galectins' roles in inflammation, particularly in arthritis and leukocyte trafficking.
Education:

- PhD in Biomedical Sciences (University of Bradford, supervised by Prof. Anne Graham)
Key Research Areas: Her work explores galectin regulation in inflammatory processes, including their roles in rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and vascular inflammation. Current projects include:
- Arthritis Research UK-funded study on Galectin-1 in inflammatory arthritis
- British Heart Foundation-funded PhD project on Galectin-3 in leukocyte trafficking
- Collaborative osteoarthritis research with Dr. Tina Chowdhury
