Professor Dharmintra Pasupathy holds the Chair of Maternal & Fetal Medicine at the University of Sydney's Westmead Clinical School and directs the Reproduction and Perinatal Centre (RPC). He specializes in perinatal epidemiology, maternal obesity, and gestational diabetes research, leveraging clinical data to improve pregnancy outcomes. His roles include Joint Head of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Sydney Medical School and leadership in international collaborations with institutions in Brazil, Canada, and the UK.
Education: Trained in the UK, with a PhD from the University of Cambridge and postgraduate work at King's College London.
Research Focus: Prioritizes risk stratification in pregnancy, particularly maternal obesity and fetal growth anomalies. Leads studies on clinical trials, quality improvement, and perinatal mortality in low-resource settings.
