Fionnuala McAuliffe

Professor Fionnuala McAuliffe is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at University College Dublin (UCD) and Consultant at the National Maternity Hospital Dublin. She leads the UCD Perinatal Research Centre and serves as Head of Women's and Child's Health and Head of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at UCD. Her expertise includes maternal-fetal medicine, diabetes in pregnancy, and nutrition during pregnancy.

Research Interests: Professor McAuliffe focuses on optimizing maternal and fetal health through nutritional interventions and diabetes management in pregnancy. Her work is supported by grants from the Health Research Board Ireland, European Union, and Science Foundation Ireland. She established the UCD Perinatal Research Centre in 2017 to advance this field.
