Dr. Dharmintra Pasupathy is a Senior Clinical Lecturer and Consultant in Maternal & Fetal Medicine at King's College London, with clinical practice at Guy's & St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. He holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge (2010), MSc in Epidemiology from LSHTM (2005), and MBBS from the University of Liverpool (1997). His research focuses on improving methods for identifying high/low-risk pregnancy outcomes through perinatal epidemiology and statistics, addressing fetal growth anomalies, maternal obesity, and gestational diabetes. He leads the National Maternity and Perinatal Audit (NMPA) as Senior Clinical Lead for Obstetrics.
Education: PhD (Cambridge, 2010), MSc Epidemiology (LSHTM, 2005), MBBS (Liverpool, 1997).
Research interests include stratification of care for improved pregnancy outcomes, with recent work on mental health service impacts and fetal growth protocols. His 94+ publications span cohort studies, randomized trials, and clinical guidelines. He has secured grants from NIHR, MRC, and other bodies for projects like improving detection of fetal growth anomalies and optimizing care pathways.
Scientific awards include the ISOM President's Prize (2010) and MRC/RCOG Fellowship (2006). He contributes to national audits and collaborates internationally on maternal health initiatives. Active roles include membership in RCOG committees and leadership in maternal medicine groups.
