Devavrat Debu Purohit is the Deputy Dean and Ford Motor Company Professor of Business Administration at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. He previously served as Senior Associate Dean for Faculty and Associate Dean at Fuqua, and held positions at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business. He holds a PhD from Carnegie Mellon University's Graduate School of Industrial Administration, where his dissertation on product obsolescence earned the AMA Best Dissertation Award.
His research focuses on technology product marketing and durable goods, published in top journals like Management Science and Marketing Science. He serves as Associate Editor for Management Science and Quantitative Marketing and Economics, and sits on editorial boards of multiple journals.
