معرفی
Deanna Koepp is an Associate Professor in the Department of Genetics, Cell Biology and Development at the University of Minnesota, where she also serves as a program leader. Her research focuses on genetic mechanisms of cancer, particularly regulation of cell cycle progression, DNA replication checkpoints, and protein ubiquitination pathways.
Her primary research areas include:
- F-box protein function in cell cycle regulation
- DNA replication and recombination mechanisms
- Ubiquitin-mediated protein degradation
- Checkpoint activation and recovery pathways
- Yeast genetics as model systems
Her publications demonstrate consistent focus on DNA replication mechanisms, cell cycle checkpoints, and ubiquitin-proteasome systems, with yeast genetics as a primary model. Recent work explores therapeutic targeting of protein degradation pathways.
Dr. Koepp has secured NIH/NIGMS funding as Principal Investigator for projects including:
- 'The Role of the F-box Protein Dia2 in Cell Cycle Control' (2007-2013)
- Renewed grant for same project (2009-2011)
