Dean Ouellette serves as President and Dean of Albany Law School. His research focuses on health law, disability rights, family law, children's rights, and human reproduction. He has authored numerous articles in academic journals and co-authored the book Bioethics and Disability: Toward a Disability-Conscious Bioethics. His work highlights systemic issues in ADA compliance at U.S. medical schools, including inadequate technical standards policies and insufficient support for students with disabilities.
Education: A.B. from Hamilton College and J.D. from Albany Law School, where he served as editor-in-chief of the Albany Law Review.
Research emphasizes legal barriers faced by individuals with disabilities in healthcare and education. His recent study, published in Academic Medicine, underscores gaps in accommodations for medical students with disabilities across 173 institutions.
