Dawnene D. Hassett is a Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Wisconsin-Madison's School of Education. She earned her PhD in Curriculum Theory from UW-Madison in 1999 and brings 13 years of practical experience as an elementary school teacher and PK-12 reading specialist. Her administrative responsibilities include leading Wisconsin's Reading Teacher and Reading Specialist certification programs.
