Michal Wargo is a faculty member at Geneva College, affiliated with the School of Education and Department of Education. She specializes in Special Education, Curriculum and Instruction, and Reading Specialist training, with a focus on PK-4 education and literacy for children with exceptionalities.

- B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies in Elementary and Special Education (Texas Woman’s University)
Her research interests emphasize literacy instruction, special education pedagogy, and curriculum design, particularly for inclusive classrooms. Recent work explores community engagement strategies in education and systematic approaches to vocational training for individuals with disabilities.
Her publications and presentations highlight trends in teacher training, student retention, and disability services, with a focus on practical applications in PK-4 settings.
Dr. Wargo is actively involved in professional organizations such as the International Literacy Association (ILA), International Dyslexia Association (IDA), and National Association of Special Education Teachers (NASET). She also serves on the Oversight Committee for Arc Discovery Employment Transitions (The Arc of Pennsylvania).
Personal interests include cooking, reading, strength training, and spending time with her grandchildren, Henry David and Charlie Shae.
