Dawn Ball is an Assistant Professor in Paramedic Science at the School of Allied Health Professions & Midwifery, Faculty of Health Studies, University of Bradford. She transitioned to academia after a 22-year military career as a combat medic, where she served as an instructor in advanced trauma and CBRNE (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive) response.

- Research: Futility of capillary glucose testing in cardiac arrest
Her work bridges clinical practice and education, with prior roles at North East Ambulance Trust and the University of Cumbria. She has contributed to resuscitation training programs for RCUK and ALSG.
