Felician Campean is Professor in Automotive Reliability Engineering and Associate Dean for Research & Innovation at the University of Bradford's School of Engineering. He holds a PhD in Reliability from Brunel University and a Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering Degree from Transilvania University.
His research focuses on model-based methods for systems engineering, reliability analysis, big data analytics for systems design, and multi-disciplinary optimization of complex systems. Current projects involve engine/powertrain modelling, automotive systems engineering, and intelligent powertrain healthcare using analytics.
Campean directs the Automotive Research Centre and co-founded the Advanced Automotive Analytics Laboratory. He maintains extensive industry collaborations with Jaguar Land Rover, Ford, BAE Systems, Tata Motors, and others through knowledge transfer programs including workplace-based postgraduate development initiatives.
