Professor Ifiok Otung is a Chartered Engineer and Professor of Space Engineering at the University of Bradford, where he directs the Bradford-Renduchintala Centre for Space AI. He holds a PhD in Satellite Communications from the University of Surrey and First-Class Honours/Master's degrees from the University of Ife, Nigeria. His research spans satellite communications, radio wave propagation, mobile channel modelling, and 5G/6G-satellite integration.
An award-winning academic, Professor Otung has authored major textbooks used globally, including 'Communication Engineering Principles' and 'Digital Communications Principles and Systems'. He serves as Associate Editor for the Journal of Engineering and Technical Program Chair for the International Communications Satellite Systems Conference. With extensive industrial collaboration, he has supervised over 150 MSc and PhD candidates.
