David Savage is a Lecturer in Education (Secondary Physical Education) at the University of East Anglia (UEA), serving as Subject Lead for the PGCE PE course. He holds roles including Senior Adviser in the School of Education & Lifelong Learning and oversees Professional Development for PGCE students. Previously, he acted as an Associate Tutor for the PESH degrees and Digital Champion at UEA.
Academic Background: He earned a First Class BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Lincoln, followed by a Masters in Advanced Educational Practice and a PGCE(M) in Secondary PE from UEA. He also holds a PGDip in Higher Education Practice.
Research Interests: Focus on teacher education, curriculum design, and the intersection of theory/practice in education. Recent work explores pandemic impacts on PE curricula and innovative pedagogical approaches in initial teacher training.
