Kim Hibbert-Mayne

Kim Hibbert-Mayne is a Senior Lecturer in Secondary Education and Course Tutor for the PGCE Secondary in Physical Education at the University of Worcester. She coordinates the PGCE secondary professional studies programme and serves as a member of the PGCE secondary physical education tutor team. With 14 years of experience as a secondary PE teacher, she transitioned to teacher education in 2015. Her MA in Education (in progress) focuses on social psychology, particularly how identity influences experiences within teaching. She holds a PGCE in Secondary PE (2007) and a BA Hons in Physical Education (2006), both from Worcester.

Her research explores the intersection of social psychology and teacher identity, emphasizing how personal identity shapes professional trajectories in education. She is actively involved in safeguarding and Prevent Duty training within higher education contexts.
