David R. Hekman serves as an Associate Professor in the Organizational Leadership and Information Analytics department at the University of Colorado's Leeds School of Business. His academic work focuses on improving organizational health through rigorous examination of professional workers' motivation, virtuous leadership dynamics, and solutions for workplace racial and gender biases.
Dr. Hekman's research interests span organizational behavior with particular emphasis on workplace diversity, leadership ethics, and implicit bias remediation. His scholarly approach investigates how doctors, lawyers, and professors maintain motivation in professional environments while addressing systemic inequities. His work bridges theoretical organizational research with practical applications for creating healthier workplace cultures.
