David Proud is a Professor at the University of Calgary, affiliated with the Snyder Institute for Chronic Diseases. His research focuses on airway inflammation, asthma, COPD, and rhinovirus-induced immune responses in epithelial cell biology. He investigates mechanisms of host defense molecules, proinflammatory cytokines, and interactions between rhinovirus infections and environmental factors like cigarette smoking.
