Dr. David Godfrey is an Associate Professor at the University College London's Institute of Education (IOE), specializing in Educational Leadership and Management. He leads the Centre for Educational Leadership and focuses on bridging academic research with practical school improvement. His work emphasizes peer review systems, school collaboration, and evidence-informed practices. Godfrey holds a PhD from UCL IOE (2011) and joined the faculty in 2015.
Research Interests: School leadership, peer review mechanisms, accountability systems, educational ecosystems, and cross-cultural collaboration in education. He has pioneered models of school-to-school peer review in England and Chile, aiming to enhance educational quality through collaborative frameworks.
Teaching and Leadership: Programme Leader for the Educational Leadership MA (2020–21) and teaches on the Educational Leadership (International) MBA. He advocates for schools as research-engaged institutions, fostering professional learning cultures.
