David Fink is the Dorothy and B.H. Peace Jr. Associate Professor of Religion at Furman University. His academic background includes a Ph.D. from Duke University, M.Div. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and B.A. from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Fink specializes in Reformation-era religious studies with interdisciplinary approaches spanning theology, history, and sociology.
His research examines critical intersections of faith and society, including wealth-poverty dynamics in salvation contexts, reception history of Hebrew wisdom literature in early modern Europe, ascetic practices in Christian theology, ethical dimensions of Christian warfare, and secularization theory's impact on religious institutions.
