David A. Dombroski, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Imaging Sciences at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. His subspecialty interests include Chest, Cardiac, Abdominal, and Pelvic Imaging, utilizing MRI, CT, Ultrasound, and PET CT. He pioneered the Cardiac MRI program at URMC in 2004 and has extensive expertise in Cardiac MRI for heart failure patients, ischemic heart disease, and liver imaging for cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).

His research focuses on cardiac MRI applications in arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia/cardiomyopathy, stress cardiac imaging, and advanced abdominal imaging techniques like liver iron quantification and MR Elastography. Publications highlight his work in cardiac dyssynchrony analysis, stress perfusion MRI, and transplant imaging. He completed residencies in Internal Medicine and Surgery at URMC and SUNY Upstate University Hospital, followed by fellowships in Body CT, MRI, and Ultrasound at URMC.
