Dr. Dascha Weir is Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and Co-Director of the Celiac Disease Program at Boston Children's Hospital. As an attending physician in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, her clinical and research focus is on celiac disease and pediatric gastrointestinal disorders.
Her research has investigated diagnostic approaches for celiac disease, including endoscopic identification of duodenal bulb lesions as specific markers, predictors of mucosal recovery, and patterns of follow-up care. She has published on the variability of histopathological changes in childhood celiac disease and season-of-birth patterns in disease pathogenesis.
