Leslie Higuchi

Leslie Higuchi is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and an Attending Physician in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Boston Children's Hospital. Her clinical expertise focuses on pediatric gastrointestinal disorders including inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), celiac disease, and eosinophilic esophagitis. Dr. Higuchi holds an MD from Harvard Medical School and an MPH from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

Her research investigates dietary and genetic factors influencing IBD risk, with a particular emphasis on nutritional epidemiology and gene-environment interactions. She has published extensively on the role of fatty acids, potassium, zinc, and adolescent dietary patterns in IBD pathogenesis.

Dr. Higuchi is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in Gastroenterology. She is affiliated with Boston Children's Hospital's Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center and maintains active clinical practice at the Longwood Medical Area in Boston.
