Lissette Jimenez

Lissette Jimenez, MD, MPH, is an Instructor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and an Attending Physician in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Boston Children's Hospital. She serves as Co-Director of the Congenital Enteropathy Program, focusing on pediatric gastrointestinal disorders such as congenital diarrhea, inflammatory bowel disease, and short bowel syndrome. Dr. Jimenez's clinical expertise spans conditions like celiac disease, eosinophilic esophagitis, and GERD, with a strong emphasis on nutritional management and genetic research.

Her education includes a Medical Degree from Washington University in Seattle, followed by a residency at Seattle Children's Hospital and a fellowship in GI/Nutrition at Boston Children's Hospital. She is fluent in English and Spanish and practices in Boston, MA.

Dr. Jimenez's research explores genetic underpinnings of congenital enteropathies and innovative therapies, including patient-derived enteroid models for microvillus inclusion disease. Her recent studies address endoscopic techniques in intestinal failure and diet-based interventions for enteropathy. She actively contributes to clinical care and translational research, advancing treatments for complex gastrointestinal conditions in children.
