Daria Borovkova serves as an Adjunct Professor of Jewellery Design at Santa Reparata International School of Art (SRISA) in Florence, Italy, where she teaches the course 'Creative Jewelry: Wearable Art' since Spring 2025. She maintains concurrent teaching positions at Lorenzo de' Medici Institute since 2016, and previously taught at Alchimia Contemporary Jewellery School from 2014-2017.
Her academic journey reflects a multidisciplinary path beginning with an MA in Linguistics and Intercultural Communication from Moscow Pedagogical State University, followed by design studies and professional work in luxury brand visual merchandising before completing her MFA in Jewellery and Body Ornament.
Borovkova's research interests span multiple interconnected fields:
- Jewellery as conceptual wearable art
- Cultural narratives in body ornamentation
- Visual merchandising techniques adapted for artistic presentation
- Intercultural communication through material design
As a practicing artist, her work has been exhibited internationally across three continents since 2012 and is held in private collections in the US and Netherlands. She simultaneously works as an Art Director and Creative Consultant for emerging luxury brands, maintaining a professional practice that directly informs her teaching methodology.
