PD Dr. Daniela Renger is a Researcher at the Department of Psychology, University of Kiel, affiliated with the Philosophical Faculty. She holds a habilitation in Social Psychology (2019) and a PhD from Kiel University (2009). Her research focuses on social recognition, self-respect, and the consequences of social inequality, with emphasis on assertiveness, collective action, and mental health. She leads projects like 'Toleranz im Ranzen' (2024) and 'Women in Philosophy' (BMBF-funded). Recent work explores gender stereotypes in academia, socioeconomic status impacts on self-respect, and the role of respect in workplace burnout. Active in academic service, she organizes the Woman Scientists Network at Kiel University and reviews for top journals like Political Psychology and Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin.
