Agnes Striegan

Agnes Striegan is a Researcher at the Philosophical Seminar of Georg-August-University Göttingen since November 2022, working on the BMBF-funded project Iconoclasm: Making Women in Philosophy Visible and Establishing New Role Models. She holds an M.A. in Philosophy from Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich (2022) and a B.A. in Philosophy with Law from LMU and the University of Sheffield (2015-2020).

Her research intersects feminist philosophy and social epistemology, particularly examining relationships between marginalization and moral expertise. She has organized reading courses at LMU's Munich Center for Ethics and served as a tutor for philosophy seminars, including the Munich Philosophical Masterclass with Sally Haslanger (MIT).

As a Dr. Hans Kapfinger Fellow, Agnes completed a journalistic traineeship and contributes regularly to major German publications like Süddeutsche Zeitung and Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. Her academic work bridges philosophical theory with practical applications in science communication, as evidenced by her Master's thesis on reporting science skepticism.
