Agnes M. A. Striegan

Agnes M. A. Striegan serves as a Researcher at the University of Göttingen's Department of Philosophy within the Faculty of Humanities. She is currently employed in the BMBF-funded project "Iconoclasm: Making Women in Philosophy Visible and Establishing New Role Models" since November 2022.

Her research centers on Feminist Philosophy and Social Epistemology, with specific focus on the interplay between marginalization and moral expertise. She has deep expertise in Political Philosophy, Logic, and Philosophy of Science developed during her academic training.

Her scholarly contributions address critical issues in science communication, hermeneutical injustice, and racial ethics. Notable presentations include analyses of journalistic reporting on science skepticism and examinations of how systemic marginalization undermines self-respect.

As a Dr. Hans Kapfinger Fellow, she completed journalistic training and currently contributes to major German publications including Süddeutsche Zeitung, Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin, and Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
