Dr Daniel Susskind is a writer, economist, and Professor at Gresham College under the University of London. He holds additional roles as a Research Professor at King’s College London, Senior Research Associate at Oxford University’s Institute for Ethics in AI, Digital Fellow at Stanford’s Digital Economy Lab, and Associate Member of Oxford University’s Economics Department.
His research focuses on the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, economics, and societal transformation, particularly the future of work, labor markets, and technological unemployment. He is renowned for his books Growth: A Reckoning (2024), A World Without Work (2020), and the co-authored The Future of the Professions (2015), alongside a widely viewed TED Talk on AI and employment.
