Daniel Sonenberg is a Professor and Director of Composition Studies at the Osher School of Music, University of Southern Maine since 2004. He specializes in opera, percussion, chamber music, and rock composition, with works performed nationally and internationally. His opera The Summer King (2017-2018) featured Denyce Graves, and First Light (2021) celebrated Maine’s bicentennial. Recent collaborations include works with percussionist Lynn Vartan and ensembles like the Cassatt String Quartet.
