Daniel Frank is a Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Purdue University's College of Liberal Arts. He also serves as the Cornerstone Department Librarian.
His research spans ancient philosophy, medieval Islamic and Jewish philosophy, history of political philosophy, and ethics. He emphasizes a Stoic philosophical outlook and is influenced by Spinoza's compatibilism of freedom and necessity.
Currently writing a Cambridge publication on idolatry featuring Plato, Farabi, and Maimonides, Frank offers graduate seminars and supervision in his areas of expertise.
