Dr. Daniel Clarke is a Senior Lecturer in Management & Marketing at the University of Dundee School of Business, serving as Programme Lead for the BSc(Hons) Business Management degree. Previously, he was a Lecturer in Marketing at Liverpool Hope University. He holds a Master's in Marketing from the University of St Andrews and a PhD in Organization Studies, focusing on organizational space and place-making processes in small businesses. His research explores themes such as craft beer culture, son-father relationships, and innovative qualitative methods like autoethnography and research poetry. His work has appeared in journals like Management Learning and Qualitative Inquiry.
Clarke’s research emphasizes evocative, creative approaches to understanding organizational and social phenomena. Key projects include studies on food tourism innovation, craft beer industry resilience during the pandemic, and the intersection of digital technology with bereavement. He collaborates with industry partners such as Scotland Food & Drink and Highlands and Islands Enterprise, contributing to initiatives like the 'Storytelling and Sense of Place' workshops.
