Damien Thompson is an Associate Teaching Professor at the University of Colorado Boulder, affiliated with the Environmental Studies Department. He leads the Sustainable Food Systems Specialization within the Masters of the Environment (MENV) Graduate Program and focuses on teaching and activism related to food justice, sovereignty, and racial equity in food systems. While he does not advise MS or PhD students, he mentors professional master's students in the MENV program.

Research Interests
Dr. Thompson’s work centers on integrating traditional and modern practices to create equitable, biodiverse, and culturally inclusive food systems. He emphasizes racial equity as a core principle in urban geography and community food systems, advocating for marginalized groups to reclaim leadership and resilience in food production.
