Dale Southerton

Roles: Honorary Professor at the Sustainable Consumption Institute (University of Manchester), Visiting Professor at the University of Copenhagen's Sociology Department, and former Director of the ESRC Sustainable Practices Research Group (2010-2014). Current Director of the Sustainable Consumption Institute since 2013.

• Affiliations: Collaborates with Morgan Centre, Manchester Institute for Innovation Research (MIoIR), DEMAND Centre (Lancaster), and the European Sociological Association Research Network on Consumption.
• Research Focus: Consumption patterns, sustainable practices, temporal organization of daily life, socio-technical systems, and comparative analysis of European/North American societies.

Research Interests: Consumption and identity, domestic spaces/technologies, sustainability transitions, time-use studies, and interdisciplinary methodologies.
