Dr. Dake Qi is an Associate Professor in the College of Pharmacy at the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Division of Biomedical Sciences at Memorial University. His research focuses on macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) family proteins and their roles in metabolic dysfunction and myocardial reperfusion injury.
Education includes:
- PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from University of British Columbia
- MSc in Pharmacology and Therapeutics from University of British Columbia
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) from China
His laboratory employs molecular and cellular techniques along with in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo models. Research funding includes CIHR project grants and NSERC discovery grants. He is currently accepting Master's and PhD students.
