معرفی
Dr. Jillian Stobart is an Associate Professor in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Manitoba, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences. Her research examines astrocyte and pericyte dysfunction in aging and Alzheimer's Disease using advanced imaging techniques.
Education includes:
- Post-doctoral fellowship at University of Zurich (2012-2018)
- PhD in Pharmacology and Therapeutics, University of Manitoba (2012)
Research focuses on calcium signaling in brain mural cells, neurovascular coupling mechanisms, and metabolic interactions between neurons and glia. Current projects investigate cerebrovascular dysfunction in Alzheimer's models using two-photon microscopy and genetic tools targeting astrocytes and pericytes.
Dr. Stobart has received the CIHR Early Career Investigator Award and funding from Research Manitoba and the Alzheimer Society Research Program. She mentors graduate students including Shahin Shabanipour (PhD candidate studying neurovascular dysfunction in Alzheimer's disease).
Recent publications demonstrate expertise in:
- Pericyte calcium signaling and hemodynamic regulation
- Astrocyte-neuron metabolic coupling
- Neurovascular unit dysfunction in disease models
- Advanced in vivo imaging techniques
