Dr. Daivi Rodima-Taylor is a social anthropologist and researcher affiliated with Boston University's African Studies Center at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies. She holds the role of Project Manager for the NEH Ajami Research Project and leads initiatives such as the Diaspora Studies Initiative and the ASC Working Group on Land Mortgage. Her work focuses on informal economies, financial technology, migration, and land governance. She earned her doctorate from Brandeis University and has contributed to interdisciplinary research on post-conflict remittances and digital innovation in African Ajami literacy. Dr. Rodima-Taylor has co-edited volumes like Cryptopolitics and Land and the Mortgage, and her research bridges anthropology, political economy, and digital humanities.
Her research interests include grassroots data activism, polycentric governance frameworks, and the intersection of technology with marginalized communities. She has published extensively in journals such as Islamic Africa, Journal of Cultural Economy, and Environment and Planning. Recent work explores blockchain applications, digital land registries, and the role of social media in conflict zones. Her projects emphasize collaborative governance models and ethical technology use in global development.
