Kim Cameron Dominguez is an Assistant Professor of Anthropology at Lewis & Clark College, located in Portland, Oregon. Her work focuses on race, gender, class, and transnational frameworks, with expertise in urban anthropology and diaspora studies. She teaches courses on Black labor, African migration, and qualitative research methods.
Education:
- PhD in Anthropology, University of California, Santa Cruz
- BA in Sociology/Anthropology, Mount Holyoke College
Research Interests: Explores institutional narratives, discursive forms, and the intersections of race, gender, and class in transnational contexts. Her 2023 publication in Feminist Anthropology examines racial identity and urban livability in Portland.
Teaching: Courses include Political Economy of Black Labor, African Migration and Diaspora, and Social Change in Latin America.
