Cristiana Duarte

Cristiana Duarte is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at York St John University since 2021. She holds a BSc (2007), MSc (2009) and PhD (2017) in Clinical Psychology, specializing in eating behavior and weight management. Previously worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Leeds' Human Appetite Research Unit.

• Research Focus: Psychological correlates of eating behavior, body image, weight regulation, and mental wellbeing
• Key Themes: Weight stigma, body shame, food insecurity, and psychological interventions for eating regulation

Teaching: Leads modules in Advanced Research Methods, Health Psychology, Adolescent Development, Psychological Research Methods, and Research Methods in Counselling.
